Latok is a seaweed, a traditional food of the Sea Bajau ethnic that live along the seashore in the district of Semporna in Sabah. This seaweed is believed to have nutritional values thus is beneficial to its consumer. Some of the nutrients are said to help maintain youthfulness, treat cancer, nurtures the blood's wellbeing, the bone, muscle and functions of the vein. Latok is eaten with rice and grilled shark fish. The seaweed can also be eaten raw with a sprinkle of lime juice as well as chilies and soy sauce.
