Laksa Penang or Laksa Pulau Pinang is a noodle dish with gravy and said to have originated from the food of the Chinese people who migrated to the Malay Peninsula. This dish is the sole Malaysian cuisine that made it into the top 50 of the world's most delicious food.
The basic ingredients are the same as in the laksa dishes of other states in Malaysia. The uniqueness of Laksa Penang is that the noodle is made from wheat flour. To make the dish more delicious the petis or prawn paste is added in.
